6 months in the UK

How time flies! I have being here for six months and I can clearly remember the first day I came here. When I stepped out of Heathrow airport, you can't imagine that kind of nervous I felt. Worried about if I can mix into the new culture, if I can adapt the different education and if I have enough abilities to solve the difficulties by myself.

Fortunately, everything is getting well so far. The teachers and new friends here are so easy-going and helpful that let me feel like home. Oxford is a lovely city, tiny but comfortable and I would love to study here. Everyone says the weather in Britain is horrible. But in my opinion, it’s not as bad as my imagine before I came here. Compare with my home city, the air is incredible fresh and the sky is amazing blue. I really like that feel when I am looking at the pure blue sky.

My mother always worries about my study because of my lazy, so she is so nervous to let me solely study abroad. To be honest, studying in the UK is really not as difficult as in China. I feel much less pressed here. But unfortunately, I still need to have chemistry and biology lessons which are my most annoying subjects, no matter in here or China. I still can’t be hard in what I’m not interested and that’s why my results of these two subjects are getting worse and worse. Maybe this habit is my big weakness and I know I should definitely improve my attitude in study.

All in all, things will getting better and better. Looking forward to next year, my A-level year! Those all my favorite subject. Doing what I like is always my aspiration.

normal day

Dear Diary,

How horrible today’s weather is! It’s so somber that makes me so uncomfortable. Plus the crows' scared birdcall, I really hate it! Because of the weather, I don’t wanna go out at all. I stayed at home all day and did a few boring homework in incredible low efficiency. I don’t know why I couldn’t concentrate my mind.

However, tonight is brilliant because of the TV programme, Dancing on Ice! It is a competition of couple figure skating. One of each couple have never skated in their lives. That’s why the TV show is so attractive. The final champion is Kyren and Melonie. Melonie is a professional skater but Kyren is a ruggerite that never skated before. I’m so amazing a rookie can skate such perfectly only in a few months!

I’m so looking forward to go to the band room with my friends tomorrow. For millions of reasons, we haven’t achieved our plan yet. but we will definitely play this weekend. If we are not able to played together, I will never have any motivity to practice my bass! Begging tomorrow gonna be bright!!

gallery trip in London..

TATE MODERN

The Tate Modern in London is Britain's national museum of international modern art and is, with Tate Britain, Tate Liverpool, Tate St Ives, and Tate Online, part of the group now known simply as Tate.

The galleries are housed in the former Bankside Power Station, which was originally designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, the architect of Battersea Power Station, and built in two stages between 1947 and 1963. The power station closed in 1981. The building was converted by architects Herzog & de Meuron, after which it stood at 99m tall. The southern third of the building was retained by the French power company EDF Energy as an electrical substation (in 2006, the company released half of this holding). Since the museum's opening on 12 May 2000, it has become a very popular destination for Londoners and tourists. Entry to collection displays and some temporary exhibitions is free.
